A hand, step by step

  1. 1

    Blinds

The two players left of the dealer button post the small and big blind to seed the pot.

  2. 2

    Pre-flop

Everyone gets two private hole cards. Action starts left of the big blind.

  3. 3

    Flop

Three shared community cards are dealt face-up. Another betting round.

  4. 4

    Turn

A fourth community card. Bets usually get bigger here.

  5. 5

    River

The fifth and final card, then the last round of betting.

  6. 6

    Showdown

Remaining players reveal. Best five-card hand from any of your 7 cards wins.

The dealer button moves one seat clockwise after every hand, so everyone takes turns posting blinds and acting last.

Betting actions

FoldGive up your hand and any chips you've put in.
CheckPass the action without betting (only when there's no bet to you).
CallMatch the current bet to stay in the hand.
Bet / RaisePut in chips (or increase the bet). A raise must be at least the size of the previous raise.
All-inPush your whole stack. If you're covered, side pots keep things fair.

Pre-actions: while waiting, tick Check/Fold, Check or Call and it fires automatically when the action reaches you. You have 30 seconds per decision — the ring around a player's avatar shows their clock.

Game modes

Cash games

Buy in for 20–100 big blinds and cash out any time between hands.

Tournaments

Everyone starts equal; blinds rise on a timer until one player holds every chip.

Fast-fold

Fold and you're instantly moved to a brand-new hand.

All-in or Fold

A pure push/fold variant — every decision is for your stack.

Run it twice

When players are all-in, the remaining board is dealt twice and the pot split per run.

Bots

Fish, Regular, Shark and Pro — practice against the skill level you want.
